3D ultrasound

On July 26th, we had our 3D ultrasound. We weren't really sure what to expect and we were hoping that she would cooperate so that we could get a good picture to see what she was going to look like. At first, the doctor took a look at her heart, bladder, ovaries, femur, etc. to make sure everything was growing and healthy. She told us that she had a bubble in her stomach which meant that she was drinking like she should be so that made us feel better. She also named the four chambers of her heart and we listened to it beat. Everything looked healthy and "beautiful". We were so happy to hear that.

When it came time to take a picture of her face, however, it was a little more difficult. First of all, her face was way low so the doctor had to push hard on my stomach to even be able to see it. Second, the baby's arm was in the way so the doctor had to try to get it to move so she could get a picture. We finally got a couple and you can see that her arm is coming across her face... silly girl! She is going to be so adorable though and we can't wait to meet her in person. I love her nose and her lips and everyone says that she's going to look just like me, but I have a feeling she will have some of her dad's characteristics. She already has long arms and legs like him and she weighs 1 pound 8 ounces!

Here are the pictures of our sweet baby Dallas

The pregnancy seems to be going faster now and I can't believe that we only have 16 weeks left, although we are still impatient for her to be here!

It's a girl!

On June 10th, we went to our doctor's appointment hoping to be able to find out what we would be having. As the doctor started looking in the general area, he saw that the baby was sitting indian-style and the legs were blocking his view. We waited for a few minutes for the baby to move and eventually it did. We found out that we were going to be having a baby girl! We were so excited!

On June 12th, I felt her small movements for the first time. It was an amazing feeling and I enjoy being able to know that she is moving and healthy. Kelly enjoys feeling her move as well and can't wait for his little girl to be here.

Here is a picture of her foot

At this point the due date keeps changing, but it is somewhere between November 8 and 15. We are considering trying for the 11th to make her birthday 11-11-11, but who knows what will happen. What we do know is that her name will be Dallas Rae Jensen and we are going to be the luckiest parents when she arrives!

A new addition

Kelly and I also recently found out that we are expecting! It was hard to believe at first since we had been trying for so long, but we are very excited! We wanted to wait to tell the family after we had gone to the doctor for the first time to make sure everything looked good but we were so excited we couldn't wait. Everyone is so excited for us. For Kelly's parents it will be their second grandchild, and for my parents it will be their fourth. My parents are very excited to have a grandchild that will be close enough to visit often.

At our first doctor's appointment we saw the little one for the first time. The feeling was so amazing and we fell in love immediately! The doctor took measurements and said everything looked good.

At our second doctor's appointment we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was very healthy and beating at 160 beats per minute! The baby looked so much bigger than the first time, although it's still so small.

Check out the belly in this picture...
We also got to see the baby's alien-like face, and its arms were stretched up above its head. Kelly just knows that it's a boy because the baby sits just like him :).
Check it out...

(May 13, 2011)

We look forward to each doctor's appointment, mainly to make sure everything is looking good and going smoothly, but also to see our little one. We can't wait to hold it in our arms one day! The doctor gave us a due date of November 8, 2011 which turns out to be the day that Kelly proposed to me 3 years ago. It will be a good day to have a baby.

Today I am at 15 weeks and 3 days so we are hoping to find out whether it's a boy or girl at our next visit!

Home Sweet Home

The last couple of months have been a little hectic! We were in the process of purchasing and closing on a townhouse. Here it is...

We got to pick out our paint, tile, carpet, and Kelly got to make our cabinets. It looks amazing! He does such a good job... everyone is jealous of how they turned out.

Take a look....

We love knowing that we own our own place and are no longer throwing our money away on renting. It's a great feeling!

Welcome Home

It has been a wonderful start to the new year! There has already been many exciting things happening and hopefully more to come!
On January 5, we were proud to welcome home Kelly's younger brother Kendal who returned from serving a two year LDS mission in Mississippi, Jackson. We have missed him so much and enjoy having him home once again!
Then on January 7, we welcomed baby Treyden into this world! Kelly's older brother Kasey and his wife Mckall had their baby at 3:50 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is adorable and has a head full of blonde hair!

All in all, it has been a busy but great start to the new year. We can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings us!

Christmas 2010

For the past two years we have gone to my parent's house for Christmas Eve. We have a family dinner, sing Christmas songs, and play games. This year for Christmas my mom wanted a cocoa maker so I told my dad that we would take care of it since we weren't quite sure what to get them. As we were searching and continuously coming up empty handed, Kelly came up with a great idea. We decided to buy an apron, sew on the words "cocoa maker", and give it to my dad. As for my mom, we would give her a can of hot chocolate mix to go with her "cocoa maker", aka "Dad". It was going to be hilarious! We also decided to continue to search for an actual cocoa maker since my dad travels so often. That way my mom could still make hot chocolate even if my dad wasn't around. We ended up finding one on Amazon.com so it worked out perfectly!

Here is the evidence...

And the best part...

My mom freaking out...

because she got her cocoa maker!

Kelly and I got my sisters some Model Magic. It is a form of playdough, but not as sticky and doesn't crumble. It was so much fun to play with!
Check out the crazy monsters we made...

My parents go me design studio for the cricut and Kelly got Jazz tickets to 3 different games!
We are spoiled!

Needless to say it was a wonderful Christmas Eve that we will never forget! I love my family!
On Christmas Day, Kelly and I got up at 5 a.m. to open presents because neither of us could sleep. We had a wonderful Christmas and Kelly spoiled me a ton! He got me a desktop computer with a 22" monitor and Photoshop Elements 9! We also bought a Nintendo Wii together, but I'm calling it mine since Kelly has his xbox 360. I got Kelly an intercooler for his xbox, Call of Duty: Black Ops, the new Good Charlotte CD, cologne, and a beard trimmer.

Me with my presents

It is a tradition in Kelly's family to draw names for Christmas and buy that person a gift. So, after having breakfast with my parents, we went to Kelly's parent's house to exchange gifts. We also had dinner together and played games.
It was a very merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving Memories

When I was growing up, Thanksgiving was always a big tradition in our family. Everyone on my mom's side of the family would gather at my grandma's house in Paris, Idaho where we would have a HUGE feast, exchange Christmas gifts, and visit with one another. It was always nice to have everyone together for the holidays. The tradition slowly faded away as some families moved and others grew in size, but it will always be one of my best memories.
This year I had to work Thanksgiving, which wasn't fun, but I am grateful for my job and the way it supports Kelly and I in our newly married lives. After work, Kelly and I went over to his parents' house for dinner and games. We had so much fun spending time together and laughing!
On Friday, we spent some time with my family watching the Jazz beat the Lakers! It was an awesome game! I am so grateful for family and for my loving husband who works so hard, takes care of me, and who I love so very much.

A little about us

Kelly and I were married on May 16, 2009. We now live in Layton, Utah where we both work. Kelly has been interested in woodworking since Jr. High and has gotten really good at it since then. He now works at a cabinet shop, however, he enjoys making anything and everything aside from his work. He has built hope chests, coffee tables, photo frames, dressers, nightstands, bookcases, kitchen tables, headboards... you name it, he can make it!

Here are a few things he has built...

As you can see he is very creative and talented and he definitely makes his work look good!
As for me.... I work at Walgreens and have been with the company for five years. It's not exactly what I saw myself doing, but I enjoy it and am learning a lot. Aside from work, I enjoy photography and taking pictures with our Nikon D3000. I hope to really get into photography and start taking professional photos sometime in the near future!
